Special Program for the Employment of Students
 Bauan, Batangas.
Seventy-three (73) student beneficiaries, this municipality, received
their salaries / incentives from the Department of Labor and Employment
(DOLE) last July 20 in the amount of Three thousand Seven Hundred Twenty
Pesos (P3,720.00) each for working thirty (30) days with the DOLE and
Bauan Local Government's yearly project called the "Special Program for the Employment of Students" (SPES).
SPES is a DOLE project with
every local government unit done yearly to provide students with working
experience and at the same time, means to support their learning
expenditures. For this project, DOLE and private employer's share is
40%-60% respectively. Private employer's counterpart for this project is
Five Thousand Five Hundred Eighty Pesos (P5,580.00) per student.
Ms. Rochelle c. Claveria, Labor and
Employment Officer III of DOLE personally distriubuted the cheques to
students who were participants to the project. Interested students from
Bauan aged 15-25 years old who wish to avail of this project may
inquire from Mr. Alfredo Dimaunahan, Administrative Officer and PESO
Officer of the local government of Bauan.
